1935 National Chicle football cards (...continued from previous page - sports cards collected by my family from the 30's thru the '60's.) Yep, Dad had it...the infamous Bronko Nagurski football card produced by the National Chicle Co. in 1935 - among the very first national collection of football cards popularized by their art deco design with a player in action. Ralph's collection included all but one card from the series (missing #25 Dale Burnett). Considering their age all cards were in very nice condition. For avid card collectors (which none of the Dawson boys are) Bronko rated "5.5" on PSA's 10-pt scale, which makes it one of the most valuable in Dad's collection. A "mint 9" could fetch $750,000.
